Caddy 1.6 TDL vehicles are those affected by the “dieselgate” scandal.
Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is writing to around 10,000 customers in Europe asking them to return their Caddy 1.6 TDL vehicles to the company’s workshops. The vans in question are those affected by the “dieselgate” scandal that erupted over false emission values last year.
VW said that the technical retooling should not have a negative effect on the vans’ fuel consumption levels, performance data and noise emissions. Customers will not be charged for any of the technical measures. Read more
