A new GBP 250 million (EUR 296 million) lorry parking site is to be created near Stanford in Kent (UK). It will help keep the M20 London to Folkestone motorway clear whenever there are disruptions to cross-channel services.
The UK government is weighing up the possibility of using the site for overnight parking of lorries, which will relieve pressure caused by some drivers parking in unsuitable or illegal locations. Read more
