Collaborative Approach Secures Panalpina Contract For Roadways Container Logistics

Awarded the contract following a formal four-way pitch, Roadways Container Logistics is now undertaking import movements on behalf of Panalpina’s Manchester, Birmingham and London Heathrow branches.

Roadways’ Manchester office has been designated Panalpina’s business co-ordination centre and its existing client portfolio perfectly complements Panalpina’s shipping line partners.

Marc Wynne, General Manager at Roadways Container Logistics says: ‘We are delighted to be working with Panalpina and playing a key role in its UK logistics strategy.  The consultative and measured approach Panalpina has adopted in rolling out its new relationship with us; initially we worked with Panalpina’s Manchester office and have recently added Birmingham and London Heathrow, has worked well and is already yielding cost and efficiency benefits.  As we move towards 2014 the relationship is set to develop further as Roadways’ responsibilities broaden to include management of export movements.’ Read more
