To Iran by lorry

A daily service sees lorries depart for Sofia from Austria and Hungary. From the Bulgarian capital goods will be despatched to Teheran once a week, spending six days in transit.

At the beginning of June the Lauterach-based Austrian firm Gebrüder Weiss expanded its connections to and from Asia by launching a link to the Iranian capital Teheran. The direct road groupage option sets off daily from Sofia (Bulgaria) and is fed by links from Gebrüder Weiss’s Central European branch offices in Maria-Lanzendorf (Austria) and in Dunaharaszti (Hungary). The goods are then bundled in the Bulgarian capital and forwarded to Teheran once a week. The transit time between the two capitals is around six days.

The enterprise Iran Europe has the expert customs clearance knowledge required in the country, and runs its own branch offices, located in the north of the state as well as on the Persian Gulf. Read more
