On the road with AsstrA
AsstrA Heavy Lift Division handles the transportation of heavy and oversized cargo, which is one of a broad range of services offered by the company. The specialized division is over 10 years old and provides, among other offerings, cargo shipping with all means of transportation and intermodal schemes involving a customized, in-house vehicle fleet as well as rail and river transportation.
Thanks to many years of experience the logistics and transportation of oversized and heavy cargo, AsstrA specialists know that before any shipment – whether cargo is factory components, wind farm turbines, or even aircraft – precise planning, trade lane analysis, and transport organization is absolutely necessary. While carrying out such projects, the knowledge and skills of the whole professional team are taken into consideration.
Because seeing is believing, in 2018 AsstrA is sharing one of the company’s stories on the television screen. The TVN Turbo program “Megatransports” covers an oversized cargo project implemented by AsstrA. It tracks an AsstrA team of Polish drivers from Poznan as they carry several dozen rotary dryer elements from Romania to Bulgaria.
Over 7 episodes, the program shows how the specialists transport the oversized cargo, overcome challenges along the way, and make difficult decisions so as to transport the cargo safely to the right destination.
