Parking metres for lorries

On 1 July Denmark is introducing a maximum parking period of 25 hours for lorries on its national motorway service areas. The new regulations apply to all of the 90 service areas. Trucks remaining in an area for too long will have to start paying higher parking fees.

Six months later the fines for vehicles parked illegally on service area slip roads are also going to be increased dramatically, with the corresponding law scheduled to enter into force on 1 January 2019. Read more
