Container transports soon emission-free

A.P. Moller – Maersk has partnered with railway company ERS/BoxXpress.de to operate emission-free electric container trains in Germany using hydropower renewable energy. Hydrogen fuel cells contain a zero-carbon fuel that can be converted into electricity with high efficiency.

 

The electric container trains will be used to connect the German seaport of Bremerhaven with important economic centres in the country, including Nuremberg, Munich, Stuttgart and Mannheim. Read more
