New online DVLA driver digital card application

Drivers can now apply and pay online for their driver digital tachograph card from DVLA, which is quicker and simpler than a paper application.

The new DVLA digital service lets you apply, renew or replace a lost or stolen card in minutes and is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Please note, however, that damaged or malfunctioning digital cards can only be replaced via paper applications.

The new tachograph card will be issued within 24 hours from applying online compared to 10 days or more if you post your application. To apply online drivers will need a valid GB photocard driving licence and a credit or debit card. Read more
