How much to haul a box along the New Silk Road

At the Transpotec Logitec 2019, staged in Verona (Italy), the United Transport and Logistics Company - Eurasian Rail Alliance (UTLC ERA) presented its new Eurasian Rail Alliance index (ERAI) and the accompanying website for the first time in Europe.

The index is intended to calculate precise information about the cost to transport a container by rail through Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan. ERAI shows, inter alia, that the price of faster and safer railfreight is approaching that of seafreight. Read more
