740 m long train for Dutch/German cross-border traffic

The German and Dutch transport ministries are teaming up to increase the efficiency of cross-border railfreight services between the two countries.

 

The two parties recently signed a letter of intent. Digitalisation and automation will underpin the joint undertaking, according to DB Cargo.

 

For example, the two countries want to test self-driving trains and digital automatic coupling systems that can be used for standardising and automating operations at marshalling yards. Read more
