Heavy-duty transport in Portugal

When the Portuguese special transport company Laso Transportes won the contract to convey a 70 m long and almost 300 t heavy metal component from Vale de Cambra to the port of Leça da Palmeira, some 60 km away, it was clear that Goldhofer’s heavy-duty modules were required to accomplish the task.

 

To ensure that the component could be delivered to the port without any major detours, the vehicle deployed had to provide a maximum degree of flexibility as well as use a loading deck with the lowest possible dead weight and a minimum overall height. Laso’s transport experts therefore chose two Goldhofer six-axle THP/SL heavy-duty modules. Read more
