Less cargo theft in Mexico

Intelligence company Sensitech recently published its annual cargo theft report for Mexico in 2020. In total, cargo theft in 2020 decreased by 9% in comparison to 2019, but its risk level remains severe. On a regional basis, the state of Mexico accounted for 34% of cargo theft across the country. Hijackings in particular dominated the scene.

 

Unlike other world regions, most cargo thefts in Mexico occur while vehicles are in transit. Food & drinks, building & industrial and miscellaneous are at the top of the list of types of cargo. Read more
