FedEx unveils two new Midlands-based logistics hubs

Federal Express Corporation (FedEx) has announced plans to open two new logistics hubs close to its existing Kingsbury/Atherstone and Marston Gate sites.

FedEx reports that this move consolidates its existing road hub infrastructure from five hubs into two brand new facilities, incorporating advanced technologies to enhance service for customer.

The new hubs, anticipated to be operational by 2029, will each be able to sort 32,000 packs per hour, and process different types of deliveries for customers, including international freight and ecommerce shipments.

FedEx has operated in the UK since 1984 and provides a range of transportation services for businesses trading internationally and domestically.

In addition to its road network, FedEx has operations at three air hubs across the UK. Read more
