35 per cent more freight trains between China and Europe

China-Europe freight train services saw solid growth from January to April this year. According to China’s Information Office, the number of Eurasian freight train services increased by 17% year-on-year to 5,611 trips in Q1/2023.

 

609,000 teu of goods were moved by the freight trains during this period, up 32% from a year ago. In April alone, the number of China-Europe freight train trips surged 25% year-on-year to 1,459. The trains shipped about 160,000 teu of goods, representing an increase of 45% from a year ago. Read more
