Reinstatement and long-term continuation of the TIR System in Russia confirmed
During a recent two-day visit to Moscow, an IRU delegation led by Head of TIR, Marek Retelski, met with the Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation, Nikolay Asaul, who reconfirmed the Russian Ministry of Transport’s willingness to assist in the immediate full reinstatement and long-term continuation of the TIR System in Russia.
The IRU also briefed various stakeholders, including the Ministry of Finance, Eurasian Economic Commission, Russian Press and representatives from major associations of the Russian business community, on the seriousness of the situation and potential losses for the Russian economy.
