As part of the IT Innovation and Technology Forum, Thomas Sørbø, COO and Co-Founder of Xeneta, will present a technology conference session titled ‘Gaining accurate ocean freight analytics’ that will look at the analysis of ocean freight data and demonstrate how users can benchmark theirocean freight rates across different trade lanes.

A spokesperson from Alcoa Inc, the world's third largest producer of aluminium and Xeneta customer will present alongside Thomas Sørbø.

“I will talk about visibility in our market and give an overview of the product we offer,” explains Thomas Sørbø, adding that the speaker from Alcoa will talk about how the company uses the benchmarking tool and the benefits they receive from it.

Founded three years ago by three shipping and logistics industry professionals, Oslo based company, Xeneta, focuses on market intelligence for the ocean freight market, helping companies to identify competitive rates, with a transparency that has not previously been available.

“I expect the conference attendees will include import and export shippers, cargo owners and freight forwarders” says Thomas Sørbø. “This type of event is very important to us, not only for networking opportunities, but it also enables us to show companies what we do and helps to position Xeneta as a globally leading benchmarking platform.”

Intermodal Europe is widely considered one of the most important events in the container shipping calendar and Rotterdam is home to Europe’s largest container port and an ideal location to hold.
