Supply Chain Conferences and Exhibitions Align for 2018.

US – EUROPE – In an interesting move MHIITE and Messe Münchenhave collaborated to plan the newly spawned Transportation & Logistics Americas (TLA) exhibition to appear alongside the annual trade fair MODEX 2018, creating a truly international show. As the trio point out, multimodal logistics is by its very nature a transcontinental business yet the American and European industries have for a long time been working independently of each other, resulting in very few similarities in their business practices.

Messe München, best known for their logistics industry related exhibition brands and ITE for its Breakbulk exhibitions brands, will host the TLA exhibition independently in the collocation with MODEX, sponsored by MHI, and the largest manufacturing and supply chain expo held in North and South America, with over 800 exhibitors covering over 250,000 square feet and a including conference of over 100 sessions. The event holders say the TLA event will complement this offering and will include a complete range of innovative products and services dedicated to transportation and external logistics.

With TTIP still on the agenda, and many mergers and acquisitions within the industry occurring with increasing regularity, the face of the freight transport sector is changing rapidly and to mirror this the newly created international Transportation & Logistics Americas (TLA) exhibition was launched, and now tied to, the already established MODEX supply chain exposition, bringing the European and American trades in closer contact. Both events will take place on April 9-12, 2018 at Atlanta’s Georgia World Congress Center.

Based in the UK, ITE handles more than 240 exhibitions and conferences annually for a diverse range of industries including the five Breakbulk events held globally. Speaking of the new cooperation Laurent Noel, Industry Director of ITE, commented:

“Both events provide excellent synergies as the two areas of supply chain and logistics present themselves jointly in the future. Collocating with the very well-established MODEX event offers TLA exhibitors an excellent venue to showcase their solutions.” Read more
