One in three HGVs partly autonomous by 2025

The greater part of the additional turnover will be generated by new technologies.

The global sales market for HGVs of 6 t and over will grow from the current EUR 150 billion to as much as EUR 240 billion in 2025. A McKinsey study revealed that the greater part of the additional turnover will be generated by new technologies such as autonomous driving systems.

In 2025, one in three trucks that are sold in Europe will be capable of driving without any human input in certain situations, such as on the motorway. Read more
