The United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) has released a significant report on the Iran-Turkey eTIR pilot project, endorsing the digitalisation of the TIR system and encouraging further contracting parties to adopt digital transport operations.
Recently published under the UNECE’s GE1 documents, the report highlights the successes of the completed pilot project and encouraged Iran, Turkey – and other countries – to continue piloting digital TIR and to move towards full computerisation of the system. Read more
