Transport of Essentials Will Feature This Month.
UK – Despite all the hype and prevarication Brexit is happening, and the long term effects on freight and the supply chain cannot even be guessed at as yet. Each sector however needs to be as prepared as possible for all manner of potential outcomes, and ensuring a constant supply of essentials, particularly foodstuffs, has therefore assumed an even greater importance than hitherto. Now the newly branded HVAC & Refrigeration Show will feature a particular focus on food logistics.
The show at ExCel Centre in London between January 23 to 25 and formerly known as the ACR Show, will see the Food Storage and Distribution Federation (FSDF) chair a Business Insights Panel discussing Brexit and its impact on temperature-controlled logistics whilst the event will also see the launch of a new sector, Refrigerated and Chilled Food Transportation, and FSDF, along with trailer building specialist, Montracon and Marshalls Fleet Solutions, both FDSF members, will be found on stand D50 with the latest in mobile refrigeration technology.
This year’s show will showcase a series of live debates on key issues as well as a three-day seminar programme with speakers invited from UK and European Associations. As part of the programme, FSDF’s Chief Executive Chris Sturman will chair the Brexit discussions along with a panel of experts from across the food supply chain. He observed:
