Scania joins coalition for emission-free transport

New coalisationo target an emission free future.

 

E.ON, H&M group, Scania and Siemens have formed a coalition to target an emission free future, looking to decarbonise commercial transport by 2050.

 

“There is no doubt that green energy will power the transport system of the future. The transformation of the heavy commercial transport sector impacts a full ecosystem of players.,” said Marc Hoffmann CEO of E.ON Sweden.

 

‘The Pathways Study: Achieving fossil-free commercial transport by 2050’ is the stepping stone of the coalition. The study outlines that fossil free commercial transport can be achieve in line with the Paris climate targets, which requires fully decarbonising heavy commercial transport, and is financially beneficial.

 

To achieve this, industry and politics must unite to action change. Therefore, the coalition of companies aims to build knowledge, seek innovation and potential partnerships within their operations and respective ecosystems. Read more
