The Russian railway company RZD and its South Korean counterpart Korail have signed an mou envisaging closer cooperation. The agreement centres on rail transport projects between Korea, Russia and Europe, including links to the trans-Korean and Trans-Siberian Railways.
RZD said that the first phase for the reconnection of a seamless trans-Korean railway corridor was already implemented in 2014, when a route between Kazan (Russia) and the North Korean port of Rajin was opened. Read more
