40 Vectrons for Rhine-Alpine route

TX Logistik, an affiliate of FS Italiane Group, has ordered about 40 Vectron locomotives from Siemens. The company signed the contract at the Transport Logistic trade fair in Munich, Germany.

The parties also agreed on an option covering a further 25 locomotives. The locos will be built at the Siemens plant in Munich-Allach and are intended to haul freight along the Rhine-Alpine Corridor.

The order, which is valued at EUR 300 million in total, includes full-service maintenance. Read more
