DHL to work with Mixmove on European Amazon deliveries from China

The company has now signed an agreement with DHL Belgium to handle over 50,000 packages a day.

 

DHL has selected Norwegian firm Mixmove as its digital handling partner for items ordered from Amazon in Europe that come from suppliers in China.

 

The company has now signed an agreement with DHL Belgium to handle over 50,000 packages a day. The packages will be delivered to a transport terminal in Belgium before they continue on to Amazon’s 33 delivery sites in Europe.

 

Mixmove will ensure that each package is labelled correctly, with individual bar codes, before they are shipped to Belgium where they are then consolidated based on their next destination. This includes air cargo, shipping and road transport.

 

Knut Fredrik Ramstad, chief executive of Mixmove, said: “We have partnered with DHL for several years already and helped companies like 3M to reduce transport cost by 35 per cent and CO2-emissions by 50 per cent.
