It is vital that the logistics sector’s needs are prioritised.
Speaking about today’s (29 September 2020) announcement, Elizabeth de Jong, Policy Director at Logistics UK said:
“Logistics UK is delighted to see that government has listened to the concerns of the sector and included flexible delivery for apprenticeships in its skills announcement today. It is vital that the logistics sector’s needs are prioritised in the same way as those of engineering, creative, technical and digital, if the economy is to “build back better”. This will ensure that goods and services can be moved freely by the most skilled workforce available, enabling business and industry to make the best possible recovery.”
