End-to-end logistics services provider XPO Logistics has completed a pilot trial of Hunic exoskeleton suit safety equipment at specific business sites and will deploy the technology across the UK and Ireland before the end of this year.
The exoskeleton suits were introduced to the XPO Logistics network sites as well as some dedicated warehouses in January of this year.
Some of the sites included Crick for Scania, XPO’s Leicester shared user warehouse for Samsung, the Volkswagon Group UK National Parts Distribution Centre in Dordon, Glen Dimplex, and Daimler in Milton Keynes.
The technology allows the the person wearing it to lift heavier objects more safely than they might otherwise be able to while not wearing it. Read more
