The first IVWC was issued by Moldovan company EURO-SERVICE on 30 September 2014
The Administrative Committee for the International Convention on the Harmonization of Frontier Controls of Goods (AC3) welcomed the work done by the IRU, the BSEC Organization and BSEC-URTA, in launching a Pilot Project to introduce the International Vehicle Weight Certificate (IVWC) in the BSEC region. The first ever IVWC was issued by Moldovan company EURO-SERVICE on 30 September 2014 for a road transport operation in transit through Ukraine into its final destination of Georgia.
AC3 notably congratulated the Republic of Moldova for fulfilling the technical requirements needed to issue the IVWC and to perform weighing procedures of goods transport vehicles. AC3 also recognised Ukraine and Georgia for their participation in the Pilot Project and called on contracting parties to the Harmonization Convention to consider joining.
